Duke of Kent (* 20. Dezember 1902 in York Cottage, Sandringham Estate; † 25. August 1942 nahe Dunbeath, Caithness, bei einem Flugzeugabsturz) war ein Mitglied der britischen Königsfamilie und der vierte Sohn König Georgs V. Der Ort Prince George in British Columbia, Kanada ist nach ihm benannt.
August 1942 war George mit der Royal Air Force auf dem Weg nach Island. Das Flugzeug stürze während eines Einsatzes ab. 14 Männer starben bei dem Absturz, der als „Dunbeath Air Crash“ bekannt wurde. Der Duke of Kent wurde nur 39 Jahre alt. Seine kleinen Kinder musste nun ohne ihren Vater aufwachsen.
