George was the youngest of three surviving children. Mary Boleyn was born in 1498 and Anne Boleyn in 1499. George's father was a diplomat who was friendly with Henry VIII and was a guest to his wedding to Catherine of Aragon on 14th November 1501, at St Paul's Cathedral in London. Boleyn was a valued participant in royal tournaments.
