He was 75 and had a long and influential career in the music industry, writing over 50 Top 40 singles with his ex-wife Carole King, such as "You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman". He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
