23. Nov. 2020 · If a film can generate $10 million at the box-office this month, that would be considered a success. This leads me to writer/director Joan Carr-Wiggin’s Canadian comedy, Getting to Know You, which sees two strangers develop an instant connection in a poorly managed small-town hotel.

A small cast of excellent actors spin this offbeat situation into a hysterically funny off-the-wall comedy and then land it on its feet as a purely romantic, love story. No fancy footwork special effects, just very funny dialogue, great acting and directing. A comedy for adults. 10 out of 15 found this helpful.
