Grover Cleveland ist als das US-Staatsoberhaupt in die Geschichte eingegangen, das als erster und einziger Präsident in zwei nicht aufeinander folgenden Amtszeiten (1885 – 1889, 1893 – 1897) an der Spitze der USA stand. Cleveland wurde deshalb sowohl als Nr. 22 als auch als Nr. 24 in die Liste der US-Präsidenten aufgenommen.
