Gruff Rhys ist ein britischer Musiker aus Südwestwales. Bekannt wurde er Mitte der 1990er Jahre als Sänger und Kopf der Super Furry Animals. Ab 2005 veröffentlichte er Soloalben, mit denen er an den Erfolg mit der Rockband anknüpfen konnte. Daneben ist er auch eine Hälfte des Elektropop-Projekts Neon Neon.
Gruffudd Maredudd Bowen Rhys (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈɡrɨ̞fɨ̞ð maˈrɛdɨ̞ð ˈbowɛn ˈr̥ɨːs]; born 18 July 1970) is a Welsh musician, composer, producer, filmmaker and author. He performs solo and with several bands, including Super Furry Animals , which obtained mainstream success in the 1990s.
