3. Sept. 2013 · Sep 3, 2013. #2. I think saying "Happy studying" could be taken the wrong way. It sounds like you want the student to suffer through the studying, not enjoy it. I don't think a student could envision being happy while studying. "Enjoy your studies" sounds like you want the student to enjoy the semester or the program, not just studying for a test.
30. Jan. 2018 · Korean. Jan 30, 2018. #1. I think it is grammatically correct to say She is not happier than her sister but, with the adverb less, I should say She is not less happy than her sister. 1) She is not less happy than her sister. 2) She is not less happier than her sister. Which of the two is correct?

Using the vocabulary in the test question, the correct sentence is "The most happy marriage would be the union of a deaf man to a blind woman." It has to be "the union" because it is " The most happy marriage". It's taken from the writings of Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

11. Mai 2016 · Member. German (CH) May 11, 2016. #1. I'm about to respond to an email concerning an interview for an internship. I've suggested dates for the meeting, but can't come up with a synonym for " I would be (more than) happy to suggest additional dates " when ending my email (as I have already used the formula in "I would be happy to come in for an ...

In saying "I am a teacher" with "also", you are either adding "I" to another person who is a teacher, or adding "teacher" to another occupation that you have. In the former case you would stress "Í" with your voice, and in the latter case you would stress "téacher".
10. Nov. 2011 · As they are twins, I would wish them a happy birthday. They had one birth day. In a slightly more complicated situation, where there are several kids in the group who have birthdays in the week, we wish happy birthday (singular) to Brenda, Charlie, Deirdre and Ed - even if their birthdays are on separate days.
10. Dez. 2019 · Dec 10, 2019. #2. Welcome to the forum! I definitely would not include "in advance" in the greeting. If I see someone two or three weeks before December 25 and I know I won't see them again before Christmas, I would probably say, Have a Merry/Happy Christmas! Please note that as this is a language forum and as "some1" is not a word,
23. Sept. 2011 · Essex, Inglaterra. english. Sep 23, 2011. #5. I would say that "to be interviewed by" gives the impression of one person supplying the questions and the other the answers - as in an interrogation. "Having an interview with" has more the feeling of a meeting of equals. P.
1. März 2007 · In this structure of present progressive and first person ("I am sending"), using "to say" is the only sensible choice here, because it conveys the intention of the sender. Although grammatically you could use "saying," it would be bizarre because it would be descriptive and detached, as if the sender were speaking of someone else.
