Known for their soothing sound and seamless blending of voices, the group’s founding members Hank Medress, Phil Margo, Jay Siegel, and Mitch Margo created a musical legacy that endures to this day.
The Tokens were an American doo-wop band and record production company group from Brooklyn, New York City. The group has had four top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 , all in the 1960s, their biggest being the chart-topping 1961 hit single " The Lion Sleeps Tonight ".
27. Okt. 2006 · Don't Worry Baby and The Wreck Of The John B. are songs best known by The Beach Boys and The Tokens' versions are well presented. Add two Hot Rod songs, Little Hot Rod Suzie and Let's Go To The Drag Strip and it's all easily worth four stars.
