Overview. Slapsie Rosenbloom receives an award from the satirical Harvard Lampoon for his well-known stupidity. Instead of being enraged, Slapsie Maxie is delighted by the "honor", and promptly tries to enroll at the ivy-league university.
When the Harvard Lampoon bestows a "special award" on nightclub owner "Slapsie" Maxie Rosenbloom, Maxie's friends, Francie Callahan, the cashier and general manager of his club, and sportswriter Hypo McGonigle, suspect that their friend is being made the butt of a joke.
