Vor 4 Tagen · In 1525 the king granted the manor to his natural son Henry FitzRoy, duke of Richmond (d. 1536). (fn. 201) On his death it evidently reverted to the Crown. (fn. 202) In 1569 John Milner secured a lease of the borough for 60 years and of the market, fairs, and courts for 21 years.
