One of the GOAT’s in country music is Townes Van Zandt. I own four of his albums, still a few to go. This is not his best album in my opinion (I’d probably say his self titled album), but it is still great. The title track is fantastic.

He said that he did not want to write like Townes or be like Townes but he aspired to write songs that would touch people the way Townes’s songs touched him.
