Lou Marini, Jr. (also known as Blue Lou) (born May 13, 1945) is an American saxophonist, arranger and composer. He is noted for his work in the jazz , rock , blues and soul music traditions, and more popularly, for being an original member of the Blues Brothers band as well as featuring in the eponymous, very successful movie in 1980.
lou's name is in fact marini not marino. lou played with blood, sweat and tears on the album new blood. toured with that version of b,s&t for about a year in '72-'73. also played with the saturday night live band in the late '70's and early '80's. he has done studio work with a large number of artists. from: edpbass (edpbass@aol.com)
