John Leventhal (born December 18, 1952) is a musician, producer, songwriter, and recording engineer who has produced albums for William Bell, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Michelle Branch, Rosanne Cash, Marc Cohn, Shawn Colvin, Sarah Jarosz, Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale, Joan Osborne, Loudon Wainwright III and The Wreckers. He has won six Grammy Awards.

Leventhal has won six Grammys for songwriting and producing. And now, at 71, he’s releasing an album of his own music, some of which features wife Rosanne Cash.
Among the regular players on the album are people from her performing band plus some notable guests, such as iconoclastic jazz-rock guitarist Bill Frisell and guitarist John Leventhal, who has worked with Suzanne Vega, and pop star Me'shell NdegéOcello on bass. Co-producer Kenny White is heard on keyboards and co-wrote several of the songs with Ms. Palmer.
