Sessions for the Lovin' Spoonful's third studio album, later released as Hums of the Lovin' Spoonful, were originally booked for Columbia Records' 7th Avenue studio in New York from August 16 to September 23, 1966. Recording was delayed after Columbia booked its own artists at the studio.
