I’m With Stupid is another well crafted album from Aimee. This one abandons the 60s experimentation for a more straightforward 90s rock sound. I think this direction is probably for the best and it makes sense for the time. Seeing that this album came out sometime around the beginning of 1996, it would have been riding the mid 90s female driven rock sound of artists like Alanis Morissette as ...
Other highlights are the ballad "You Could Make A Killing", with Juliana Hatfield helping out on background vocals, "Amateur", "That's Just What You Are" and "Frankenstein" but, on the whole, I'm With Stupid is a pretty consistent album (excepting the jarringly bad "Superball").
