'I Want You' is a steppers soul classic from what I consider to be an average Booker T effort. Just recently reissued on compact disc (2013) for the first time outside Japan. For serious collectors this rare limited edition 2003 remastered Japan compact disc from the original record label A&M Records (not a reissue label) is the one.
Booker T. Jones. Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger and producer, born 12 November 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee. Founding member of Stax ' in-house band Booker T & The MG's in 1962. He left Booker T & The MG's and the label in 1970, to embark on a career as a producer and solo artist. Father of Booker T. Jones III and Liv Jones.
