  6. In February 2015, the Fort Worth ISD approved a $69 million campus at the I.M. Terrell site that included both the ISD’s flagship Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and Visual Performing Arts (VPA) high schools. The school opened Fall 2018 with nearly 160 grade nine students.

The high school closed in 1973, and was later reopened as the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and Visual Performing Arts . Forest Hill Mayor Clara Faulkner graduated in 1961.
