Idabelle Smith Firestone (November 10, 1874 – July 7, 1954) was an American composer and songwriter. [1] Biography. She was born in Minnesota City, Minnesota, to Eliza B. Allen (1843–1923) and George T. Smith (1841–1921), the youngest of five children.

Idabelle Smith Firestone. Idabelle Firestone was an American composer and songwriter. She was also a homemaker, and wife of the famous tire-maker and industrial giant, Harvey S. Firestone.
Idabelle Firestone, née Smith, was born November 10, 1874. She and Firestone were married in 1895, and were the parents of six children. Idabelle was a musician and composer, and as such contributed several songs to The Voice of Firestone. The compositions “In My Garden” and “If I Could Tell You” both were featured as theme songs for the program.
On November 20, 1895, Firestone married Idabelle Smith. They eventually had seven children. Notable great–grandchildren include: Andrew Firestone , Nick Firestone , and William Clay Ford, Jr. (the son of Henry Ford's grandson and Harvey and Idabelle's granddaughter Martha ).
The original impetus for the program was the wife of Harvey Firestone (1868-1938), Idabelle Smith Firestone (1874-1954), herself a composer.
