Marvin Frederick Hamlisch (June 2, 1944 – August 6, 2012) was an American composer and conductor. He is one of few people to win Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards, a feat dubbed the "EGOT". Aug. 2009 · The Informant! soundtrack was the last movie score that the late Oscar, Tony and Grammy Award Winning Marvin Hamlisch would compose at the personal request of Soderbergh who was a big fan of Hamlisch and had revisited Woody Allen's Bananas, which Hamlisch had scored as the inspiration for this score and film.
