  6. Jerome Napoleon was born in 1830. He passed away in 1893. Having studied at Westpoint (Class of 1852) he first served in the U.S. Army, in Texas, with the Mountain Rifles. In 1854 he resigned and entered as Second Lieutenant the Imperial French Army to serve in the Crimean War (1854-1855), in the siege of Sebastopol.
