Mai 2024 · Jack Albertson, American stage, television, and movie actor who was noted for his work in the Broadway plays The Subject Was Roses (1964–66) and The Sunshine Boys (1972–74) and the television series Chico and the Man (1974–78), in which he played a cranky gas station–garage owner with a young Latino mechanic.
A comedian, dancer, singer, and musician, Albertson is perhaps best known for his roles as Manny Rosen in The Poseidon Adventure and Grandpa Joe in the 1971 version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and as Ed Brown in the 1974-1978 television sitcom Chico and the Man.
