Jack Benny (gebürtig: Benjamin Kubelsky; * 14. Februar 1894 in Chicago, Illinois; † 26. Dezember 1974 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Entertainer und Schauspieler. Durch Radio- und Fernsehshows wurde er einer der beliebtesten US-amerikanischen Komiker des 20. Jahrhunderts.
"Jack Benny's Bag" was broadcast on November 16th, 1968, on the NBC network. It co-starred Phyllis Diller (in an extended take-off of "The Graduate" wherein Ms. Diller portrayed the "Mrs. Robinson" character, and Jack played the Dustin Hoffman role), Eddie Fisher, Lou Rawls, and Dick Clark. November 16th, 1968, coincidentally, was my 12th birthday.

Jack was trying to be hip by using the term 'bag' in the title. It was '68 and even the old-timers had sideburns, but Benny remained one of the most endearing entertainers ever. After Benny's show left the airwaves, it was four years before the two men worked together again, but they remained in contact with each other. Anderson said, "We always exchange Christmas gifts and he's not as stingy as he pretends to be." Anderson appeared as Rochester in Benny's 1968 special Jack Benny's Bag.
