The band dispanded following Young's death in April 2021 – the final lineup was Young alongside bassist and vocalist Jack Sundrud (1985–1987, 1990–1991, and since 2000), drummer Rick Lonow (since 2016), and guitarist and vocalist Tom Hampton (since 2020).
Jack Sundrud Bass Guitar/Vocals 1969-1973. Jack was a founding member of Podipto, and together with John, wrote most of the band's songs that so many fans remember 40 years later.

Nov. 2015 · A lot of music has influenced long-time Poco bass player Jack Sundrud, but he says seeing the Beatles at age 15 “was the experience that set the hook of music in my soul.” Sundrud’s memorable day — Aug. 21, 1965 — began in his small northwestern Minnesota hometown, Oklee, which today has a population of 350.

New members Jeff Steele (bass) and Rick Seratte (keyboards, backing vocals) came in for Poco's 1984 tour dates, but they departed, along with drummer Chapman, to be replaced in 1985 by future Great Plains front man Jack Sundrud (vocals, bass, guitar) and the returning Grantham.
