James E. Hansen is a climate scientist, activist and professor at Columbia University’s Earth Institute. He has testified on climate change to congressional committees in the 1980s and has received numerous awards for his research on Earth's climate and human-made climate change. He directs the Program on Climate Science, Awareness and Solutions and is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s Earth Institute.
