As of 2012, the Elegants are still performing at concerts and events throughout the United States, under the name “Vito Picone & The Elegants”.
1. Feb. 2012 · The group was formed in 1956, when lead vocalist Vito Picone and Carman Romano (both ex-Crescents), teamed up with Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardogono, and James Moschello. When Picone wrote Little Star in 1958, the boys from Staten Island, New York, became a sudden success.
