With Ahmet Ertegun and Nesuhi Ertegun, he helped the label. to become one of the major players in the music industry. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
The album is also notable for the song "Mojo Mama", written by Bert Berns and Jerry Wexler and previously recorded by Hoagy Lands as "32 Miles out of Waycross", which became the basis for Edwin Starr's 1969 Motown hit "Twenty-Five Miles".
