Jeremy Robert " Jim " Fox OBE (19 September 1941 – 28 April 2023) was a British modern pentathlete and Olympic champion. Career. Fox was one of the most influential figures in the development of the Modern Pentathlon in Britain. He won the British title a record ten times and is the only British pentathlete to have competed in four Olympic Games.

30 Apr 2023. UIPM Family. Print. The global Modern Pentathlon community is in mourning after the death of Jeremy “Jim” Fox at the age of 81. Fox (GBR) became Olympic champion at the fourth attempt, topping the podium in the team event alongside Danny Nightingale and Adrian Parker at Montreal 1976.

1. Mai 2023 · Fox first competed in the Olympic Games at Tokyo 1964, finishing 29th. He improved to eighth at Mexico City 1968. Fox was dissuaded from retiring from the sport by coach Ron Bright and finished fourth at Munich 1972 before his Olympic triumph in Montreal four years later.
