1962–2016. Michael James Kale (born August 11, 1943) is a retired Canadian musician, best known as the original bassist for the rock band The Guess Who. [1] He was also a member of the band Scrubbaloe Caine. In 1987, he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as a member of The Guess Who.
Starting in the late 1970s, original bassist Jim Kale organized a band under the name of The Guess Who for nostalgia tours with a frequently changing cast of musicians. Kale departed temporarily on some occasions and the surviving band often performed with no original members.

In 1977, former bassist Jim Kale, who was fired from the band in 1972, asked Burton Cummings for permission to use the Guess Who name for a single reunion concert, but Kale went beyond the scope of Cummings’ initial permission and hired other musicians to perform as the new The Guess Who.

Garry Peterson is a Canadian and American drummer who over the course of a iconic career spanning more then six decades is best known for: being a founding member and co-owner of the legendary Canadian rock band The Guess Who; performing with former Guess Who member Burton Cummings; and performing with Bachman Turner Overdrive during their support of Van Halen’s 5150 Tour.
