Jim Rutledge is the former Master Distiller of Four Roses Bourbon, he earned the title of Master Distiller in 1994. Jim started out with the Seagram brand in 1966 in the Louisville R&D plant and ended up as the head of Industrial Engineering and Budgets for 17 years in 1975.

Starting at Seagram in 1966, he retired as master distiller for the famed Four Roses Bourbon brand after 49 years back in 2015. That retirement lasted about a week.

Jim Rutledge was born in 1943 and began working for the Seagram’s Company in 1966. He worked in the R&D department in Louisville,KY and in 1975 was the head of Industrial Engineering and Budgets. By 1994 Jim Rutledge was named Master Distiller of Four Roses. When growing up he did not know what he wanted to be.
