Biography. Jimmie Widener was born in Seminole, Oklahoma in 1924. Played banjo and guitar as well as sang with Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, guitar and vocals with Spade Cooley, guitar and vocals with Tex Williams, rhythm guitar with The Whipporwills, and originated The Country Gentlemen.
