He is known for developing forms of jazz which allowed for free interplay between the musicians, anticipating forms of free improvisation.

   Ho scoperto Jimmy Giuffre tardi e me ne sono innamorato. Mi sono innamorato di questo jazz molto europeo con intrecci di musica colta e contemporanea. Suonato in trio o quartetto sempre anomalo nella strumentazione. Questo disco è molto bello ed è una ristampa fatta veramente bene. Super consigliato!
