  6. Jimmy Rogers. Bürgerl. Name: Chicago blues singer, guitarist and harmonicist (born June 3, 1924 in Ruleville, Mississippi - died: December 19, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois). Best known as member of Muddy Waters' band in the late 1940s and 1950s. He had solo hits on the R&B chart with "That's All Right" in 1950 and "Walking By Myself" in 1954.

Jimmy Rogers (1924 bis 1997) war in Muddys erster elektrischen Band Anfang der 1950er und hatte in den darauffolgenden Jahren auch ein paar eigene Hits (Ludella, Rock This House Tonight, That's Alright). Aber zu den ganz großen Stars der Bluesszene gehörte er nie. Jimmy Rogers nahm in späteren Jahren einige sehr schöne LPs auf (Tipp: Bluebird), die aber auch nicht vollends einschlugen.
