29. Jan. 2024 · After the album’s accompanying tour, Mercury Rev was plagued by disorder. The band were deeply in debt; both their manager and drummer, Jimy Chambers, had abandoned the cause and following the disappointing sales of the album, the band requested to be dropped from the Beggars Banquet label.
A musician, Jimmy Chambers is one of the co-founders of Londonbeat, They wrote a string of hits including '9am' their first UK hit which reached no. 9 in the charts, ‘Build It With Love’ no. 5 in the US charts & ‘I’ve been thinking about you’ which he wrote rose to Number 1 in 27 countries!!

29. März 2017 · On the recording of Paralyzed Mind, which also features Jimy Chambers, Mark Marinoff, Jason Russo and Suzanne Thorpe, the band freed themselves from the constraints of the standard rock form and produced a work that reflects their interest in avant freak-out and improvised music.
About. JIMMY. CHAMBERS. Born in the sun of the Caribbean island of Trinidad, Jimmy Chambers arrived in England in the hope of success as a singer. The electric London gives him every chance to join his voice to the greatest artists of the time. In 1970, in collaboration with Robert Palmer, he co-directed the DaDa group.
Londonbeat are a British dance-pop band who scored a number of pop and dance hits in the early 1990s. [1] . They currently consist of vocalists Jimmy Helms, Jimmy Chambers, and Charles Pierre. Former members include multi-instrumentalist William Henshall, George Chandler, Marc Goldschmitz, and Myles Kayne.
