John Joseph McGraw (April 7, 1873 – February 25, 1934) was an American Major League Baseball (MLB) player and manager who was for almost thirty years manager of the New York Giants. He was also the third baseman of the pennant -winning 1890s Baltimore Orioles teams, noted for their innovative, aggressive play.

John McGraw was a fiery and influential manager who won 10 NL pennants and three World Series titles with the Giants. He pioneered the hit-and-run, the Baltimore chop, and other tactics that shaped the game. He played as a player for the Orioles and Athletics before managing the Giants for 30 years. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937.
