  6. 15. Aug. 2006 · Johnny Duncan, a country hitmaker of the '70s, died in 2006 after suffering an apparent heart attack while being flown to a Fort Worth, Texas, hospital. He was a cousin of Jim Seals and Dan Seals, and a guest appearance on Ralph Emery's TV show led to his career in Nashville. He charted his first single in 1967 and scored his first Top 10 hit in 1973 with "Sweet Country Woman."
