Jorge María Mejía (31 January 1923 – 9 December 2014) was an Argentine cardinal of the Catholic Church ( Roman Rite ). [1] Early life and ordination. Mejía was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ordained to the priesthood for the Metropolitan See of Buenos Aires on 22 September 1945.
