14. Dez. 2022 · Written as a reaction to the assassination of Bobby Kennedy in 1968, this moody David Crosby song on Crosby, Stills & Nash’s debut album was a warning of darker days ahead. The chorus refrain, ‘It appears to be a long time before the dawn’, echoes the foreboding atmosphere.
Journey Through the Past is a 1973 film by Neil Young. [1] Originally shot in 16mm format and then transferred for theatrical release [2] the experimental film is a self-directed combination of concert footage from 1966 onward, backstage footage and semi-fantastic art film -like sequences.

But then the film becomes sort of a music-video, showing what appear to be black-robed Klansmen riding horses on the beach, and then what looks like a red-robed Catholic Cardinal riding in a limousine, all of which apparently has zero connection with the rest ...
