Julián Gómez García Gorkin (1902–1987) became a Communist in 1921, and was a member of the Spanish section of the Left Opposition and an organiser of the Bloque Obrera y Campesino (Workers and Peasants Bloc) in Valencia, before becoming a leader of the Partido Obrero de Unificación Marxista (Workers Party of Marxist Unification).
