The purpose-built 1,200-seat movie house was designed by architect A.C. Willmanns and H.G. Lotter and opened on September 2, 1911. In 1930 the theater was razed to make way for the 2,400 seat Warner Theatre (aka Warner Grand) which remains standing (albeit vacant) today.
