  4. Julia Lee died in her home in Kansas City during an afternoon nap, on December 8, 1958, at the age of 56, from a heart attack. [1] [2] Her passing did not attract much attention, being somewhat eclipsed by the deaths of Tommy Dorsey and Art Tatum .
