Die Band bestand hierbei aus dem Sänger und Gitarristen Steve Bardsley, dem Gitarristen Kenny Nicholson, dem Bassisten Marty Rajn und dem Schlagzeuger Mark Eason. Bis Ende des Jahres konnte die vierköpfige Band ihre Bekanntheit steigern.

They formed in 1976 under the name Ice but changed it to Black Rose in 1980. Black Rose was one of the many British bands considered part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement. The original line-up was Steve Bardsley (lead vocals/guitar), Kenny Nicholson (guitar), Marty Rajn (bass) and Mark Eason (drums).

Das aktuelle Line-Up besteht aus 3 Originalmitgliedern der Band – Steve Bardsley (Leadgesang und Gitarre), Kenny Nicholson (Leadgitarre) und Paul Fowler (Schlagzeug) sowie dem neuen Bassisten Kiko Rivers. BLACK ROSE haben 2012 ein drittes Album mit dem Titel „Cure for your Disease“ auf Metalizer Records veröffentlicht.
