4. Sept. 2019 · Wednesday, September 4, 2019. An alumnus of both The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, Gene Parsons couldn't have had a more confusing name. He's no relation to Gram, yet to judge from KINDLING, the album he made between stints in those legendary groups, his ear for country-rock is just as strong as his more famous predecessor.
20. Dez. 2017 · The first album for Columbia, Flying Again, was released in October 1975 and it is absolutely outstanding. There's not a bad track to be found and it's the one post-A&M Burritos album that I would consider absolutely essential. The second and final Columbia album, Airborne (1976) is not as good as Flying Again but still decent.

30. Sept. 2006 · This collection includes 7 tracks from The Byrds, the 11 from Gene Parson's Kindling album and 4 from The Flying Burrito Brothers. From The Byrds latter era there is great stuff, Gunga Din, Nashville West, Yesterday's Train and Bristol Steam Convention Blues. On Kindling there are 2 excellent bluegrass cuts, On The Spot and Banjo Dog.

Die US-amerikanische Country-Rock-Band Flying Burrito Brothers wurde 1968 in Los Angeles von Gram Parsons und Chris Hillman gegründet. Den Namen hatte Parsons einer Formation um Ian Dunlop und Mickey Gauvin entliehen, die 1967–68 Konzerte im Umland von Los Angeles gegeben hatte.
Burrito Deluxe recorded three albums with various musicians, many of whom at one time had been members of the Flying Burrito Brothers in one capacity or another. After still more lineup changes, Burrito Deluxe recorded an album as simply "The Burritos" [3] before reverting to their 1980s moniker: The Burrito Brothers. [4]
The Flying Burrito Brothers are an American country rock band best known for their influential 1969 debut album, The Gilded Palace of Sin. Although the group is perhaps best known for its connection to band founders Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman (both formerly of The Byrds ), the group underwent many personnel changes and has existed in various incarnations.
