Carole King (* 9. Februar 1942 als Carol Joan Klein in Manhattan, New York) ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin, Songschreiberin und Pianistin. Bei ihren Live-Auftritten spielt sie außerdem gelegentlich Gitarre. Mit dem Album Tapestry trug sie entscheidend zur Etablierung des Singer-Songwriter -Genres bei.
