She joins the Pepperdine School of Public Policy as the Taube Professor of International Relations and Politics in August 2022, after serving as the director of the Center for International Relations and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University. She is also a W. Glenn Campbell Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution and a best-selling author of books on Ronald Reagan.
