Eindeutig die schwule Nachahmung von „Die Hochzeit meines besten Freundes“ versucht „Kiss the Bride“ durch selbstbewusste Bezugnahme zu ersterem einen ironisch-humorvollen Ton anzuschlagen. Obwohl der Film nicht wirklich schlecht ist, ist er leider auch nicht wirklich ironisch, noch lustig, und auch nicht sonderlich romantisch.
