6. Jan. 2014 · Professor Longhair did not live long after this recording, but his rhythm and blues-style piano playing and singing was still strong at an advanced age. The concert offers a good selection of his catalog, including a nice version of Big Chief to open the set. The sound is much crisper on this release. I am assuming it was remastered for re-release. It is well worth the money.
