Lauri Porra (born 13 December 1977) is a Finnish bass guitarist and composer who has written scores for films and other media, [1] as well as commissions from orchestras such as the Lahti Symphony and the Finnish Radio Symphony. He is also known for his work as the bass guitarist in the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius. [2] .
Lauri Porra (s. 13. joulukuuta 1977 Helsinki, Suomi) on suomalainen säveltäjä ja muusikko. Hänen orkesteriteoksiaan ovat esittäneet mm. Radion sinfoniaorkesteri [1], Sinfonia Lahti [2], Turun filharmoninen orkesteri [3], Trondheim Symphony Orchestra sekä New Bedford Symphony Orchestra USA:ssa.
Porra is a Finnish bassist and composer, best known for his work in Stratovarius and Sinergy. Lauri Porra comes from a family of professional musicians stretching back four generations, the most famous of which is the iconic composer Jean Sibelius. His music has been performed by the Finnish Radio Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and the New Bedford Symphony among many others.
