In LISBON STORY the director is quirkily MIA and looking for inspiration whereas in SHAPE he's off to find money from an elusive producer. Both films are in a state of limbo with a slight dash of mystery or intrigue - both have a tiny undercurrent of underworld/gangster grit - that sustain us, but for me personally, it doesn't satisfy.
