    was a two-hour Made-for-TV movie special which aired on NBC-TV on December 23, 1983 and was the second TV film special in a trilogy story arc which followed the cancellation of the long-running TV series, whose final episode, Season 9's "Hello and Goodbye" aired on March 21, 1983. Directed and written by series co-star Victor French, who made a guest appearance, the film was written by Chris Abbott.

    The movie is one of three episodes, that came out in a separately DVD, after the unofficial "last season", season 10. The post series film special followed the TV movie special Little House: Look Back to Yesterday, which aired on December 16, 1983, and was then followed by Little House: The Last Farewell, which aired on February 10, 1984.

    While the Wilders and Mr. Edwards are shopping in Mankato, Rose is kidnapped by a woman who cannot have anymore children, prompting a search for the little girl.

    A young orphan boy is a key character in the search. The woman realizes how wrong she was and she and her husband adopt the orphan.
