27. The discography of Doug Sahm started in 1955 with the release of "A Real American Joe" on Sarg Records. [1] Sahm fronted three bands early in his career: The Pharaohs, The Dell-Kings and The Markays. He released the song "Crazy Daisy" (1959), and he had a local hit in San Antonio, Texas with "Why Why Why" (1960) on Renner Records.

Aug. 2007 · Doug Sahm and his band LIVE From AUSTIN TEXAS is very good highlighted by Doug Sahm’s guitar and vocals and Doug playing fiddle too on the song San Antone.The 2 T-Bone Walker tunes “Papa Ain’t Salty” and “Stormy Monday” are standouts.Too bad the Medley isn’t longer but still, the 4 minutes of Elvis mixed with Freddy Fender makes for a memorable live rendition with Augie Meyers ...
